Day 1: Australia Departure (Monday) Hotel:in-flight ( )  

Board you flight for China!

Day 2: Arrive at Beijing (Tuesday) Hotel:Ritan International Hotel or similar ( 5 stars )  

Welcome to China! Once you retrieve your luggage and go through the customs at Beijing Capital Airport, you will easily spot our guide warmly greeting you, holding a banner with your name on. A comfortable transfer will take you to the reserved hotel. After checking in, we suggest you have a good rest for the remainder of the day.

Day 3: Beijing ( B + L ) Hotel: Ritan International Hotel or similar ( 5 stars )  

Your first stop will be to the grandest public plazas in the world – Tiananmen Square. You will then continue on to the Forbidden City, one of the greatest palaces in the world. Afterwards you will enjoy a traditional Chinese tea ceremony. Afterwards, you will visit Beijing Zoo and the adorable giant panda.

Optional Program:
Then you may choose to join the optional tour of Hutong Rickshaw, and visit Siheyuan Folk House.  In the evening, you may choose to take Hot Pot as your optional dinner, or you may arrange the dinner on your own.

Day 4: Beijing ( B + L ) Hotel:Ritan International Hotel or similar ( 5 stars )  

After enjoying your breakfast, you will head north of the city 70km to conquer the Great Wall of Juyong Pass and to behold the beautiful rugged mountain landscapes that surround this impressive structure. You will then continue on to the largest Jade Carving Workshop in Beijing, Afterwards, You will then continue on to take photos with the exteriors of the 2008 Olympic Games sites including the Bird’s Nest and Water Cube. Afterwards you will experience an Orient Foot Massage and learn about traditional Chinese medicine. And visit the famous Silk Street Market to have a shopping.

The dinner will be arranged on your own.

In the evening, you may choose to join the optional evening performance – the Kung Fu Legend.

Day 5: Beijing ( B + L ) Hotel:Ritan International Hotel or similar ( 5 stars )  

After enjoying your breakfast, you will visit the Temple of Heaven, where the emperors used to worship to the universe, and prayed for the harvest. Then, we will learn about silk in silk factory. And enjoy the shining of the pearls in pearl shop.

Optional Programs:

You may choose to join the optional tour to Summer Palace, renowned for its beautiful gardens once enjoy by the Emperors and their families. Then you will enjoy the optional evening performance – the acrobatic show. And enjoy Peking Roast Duck for dinner as optional cuisine.

Day 6: Beijing Xian ( B ) Hotel:Qujiang Yinzuo Hotel or similar ( 4 stars )  

Free at your own leisure till the driver picks the group up in hotel and drive to train station. Board the fast train from Beijing to Xian. Meet your Xian guide upon arrival and get his/her assistance to check in hotel.

This evening, you would be guided to Muslim Street. In early days of Tang Dynasty(618-907), many Arabian merchants traveled along Silk Road and stopped to settle down in Xian, the by-then capital city. Xian's Muslim community got to expand much since then. Muslim Street is now the hub of Muslim community in Xian and also an ideal place for visitors in search of  local mouth-watering food and characteristic souvenirs.  Dinner would be on your own exploration of cuisine in the street.

Please be noted that the train journey will be around 6 hours. No lunch will be prepared. There are dinning cars on the train. You are also suggested to bring some food or snack with you.

Day 7: Xian ( B + L ) Hotel:Qujiang Yinzuo Hotel or similar ( 4 stars )  

For a span of more than 1,000 years Xi'an served as the capital city for 13 dynasties. Its history endows Xi'an with a great number of precious relics and historical sites. The Terracotta Army is deemed the eighth wonder of the world. Discovered accidentally in 1974, this incredible army of over 7000 soldiers, archers, horses and chariots in full battle array has guarded Emperor Qin's tomb since 210BC. Each figure is unique, and the painstaking repair and excavation continues in 3 pits which are protected inside huge hangars. 1.5 hours from Xian, there is also an excellent museum and film about the history of the vaults. Photos (no flash) are allowed. Wear comfortable walking shoes. Also this morning you will visit a terracotta sculpture factory to learn about the crafts. Then get driven back to the city and visit Xian City Wall, the world’s most well-preserved city wall and and also one of the most magnificent ancient military defense systems. Its grandeur and excellent design impress every visitor there. The wall now stands with height of 12 meters, width of 15m at the top and 18 meters at the bottom.
Tonight you could join the optional program: Xian Dumpling Banquet + Tang Dynasty Singing & Dancing Show.

Day 8: XianChengdu ( B + L ) Hotel:Holiday Inn Express West Gate or similar ( 4 stars )  

Take morning flight to Chengdu. Upon arrival, head to Panda Feeding Base which host dozens of Pandas. You can see baby Panda, sub-adult Panda and adult Panda there.  If you would like to take a photo closely to the giant panda, it takes around RMB2000/p ( approxi. $400/p).  After lunch, check in your Chengdu hotel.

If you would like to explore more about Chengdu, you could try to go Jinli street or Kuanzhai Lanes where you could find characteristic souvenir and taste local Sichuan snacks.

Day 9: Chengdu Lhasa ( B ) Hotel:Lhasa Dekang Hotel or similar ( 3 stars )  

Check out of Chengdu hotel. Fly to Lhasa. Our staff will greet you at Lhasa Airport to transfer you to hotel. From Lhasa Airport to downtown Lhasa, usually takes about 1.5hrs; from Lhasa Railway Station, about 20mins. After transferred to hotel, the rest of the day you will be free to wander around the city on your own but try not to overtax yourself. The first day’s well-rest is crucial to acclimatize high altitude. Remember to drink lots of water, eat light, and not to shower if you can help it.

Day 10: Lhasa ( B + D ) Hotel:Lhasa Dekang Hotel or similar ( 3 stars )  

Highlights: AM: Drepung Monastery or Drak Yerpa

PM:Sera Monastery

Today you will visit totally 2 attractions in Lhasa suburb. In the morning, we will arrange you to see Drepung Monastery or Drak Yerpa. Exactly which one of these two will be decided by our operation team. In the afternoon, we will visit Sera Monastery; You will stay long hour on sightseeing today under the fierce sun of Tibet, do arm yourself with sunglasses/ hat/ sunscreen.
Also a welcome dinner will be held tonight.

Drepung Monastery was built in 1416 and is the largest monastery of the Gelug Sect. It covers an area of 250,000 square meters.

Drak Yerpa is a place that has deep meanings in the Tibetan spiritual culture. There is a saying goes like this: "Lhasa is the shrine of Tibet, Drak Yerpa is the shrine of Lhasa. Not seeing Drak Yerpa in Lhasa is just like making a dress without the collar." The entrance to the Yerpa Valley is about 16 km northeast of Lhasa on the northern bank of the Kyichu River. From there, it is another 10 km to the famous ancient meditation caves.

Sera Monastery is located in the northern suburb of Lhasa City. The monastery was named Sera which means wild rose in the

Tibetan language, because the hill behind it was covered with wild roses in bloom when the monastery was built. From of

Mon ~ Fri, every afternoon, you ll be able to see monks debating at Sera Monastery.

Day 11: Lhasa ( B ) Hotel:Lhasa Dekang Hotel or similar ( 3 stars )  

Highlights: Potola Palace, Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Street

This morning, visit Potala Palace. It is more than 3,700 meters above sea level and it is the highest palace in the world! At the top of the palace, Golden Roofs, you can have a bird-eye view of the whole of Lhasa. In the distance there are undulating mountain ranges, the beautiful Lhasa River, tracts of fields, tree-shaded villages and the glistening Jokhang Temple.

Afternoon, visit Jokhang Temple, it is the first built during the period of Sontsan Gambo in the 7th century, featured with Buddhist prayer wheels, reclining deer, and golden sutra streamers. You'll find that many Pilgrims pray before the monastery.

The circuit around it called Barkhor Street, a famous local handmade crafts market, which is a good place to purchase souvenirs.

Day 12: LhasaAustralia ( B ) Hotel:in-flight ( )  

Get transferred to airport from the hotel.
The tour guide will see you off at the airport. Have a safe flight!

Day 13: Back to Australia   

Get back to Australia. Home Sweet Home!
